What is Baby Mindful?
The classes follow the same 7 steps of relaxation each week: Move, Play, Stretch, Breathe, Feel, Believe and Relax.

These steps are a mixture of gentle sensory activities designed to promote cognitive, physical, emotional, and social development based on scientific research, and activities designed to support wellbeing and calmness in parents, and explore the emotional connection between parents and babies.

The classes are led by the babies at a gentle pace, so most activities can be taken away and done at home if babies are asleep, feeding or don't not want to join in, and can be amended to suit the relevant stage of development.

Above all, the classes are a space to just "be", rather than "do" and spend some quality time together, away from the stress and rush of life.

0-6 month classes
These are themed around a different nursery rhyme each week, and move at a slow gentle pace, making them suitable from birth or as soon as you are able to get out of the house.
A lovely opportunity to spend some time just being with your baby, learning about and deepening the emotional bond between the two of you. Baby Mindful classes also offer parents with babies aged 0-6 months a rare opportunity to take time to relax . The new born stage is a busy and exhausting time, and any moments for mindfulness or relaxation can be few and far between, so these classes are a great way to start to carve out a little time for calm.
6-12 month classes
As babies get more active, the activities in the classes change to be more engaging, but still at a pace that gives time to really focus on your baby. The activities are simple but different each week, meaning you can take them home with you and repeat, or introduce to babies again if they weren't in the right frame of mind to explore them in the class. A treasure basket full of interesting items to explore means there is still some time for parents to have a mindful moment, try some different breathing techniques and relax.

Suitable for any stage of pregnancy our classes contain movement, stretching, breathing and relaxation techniques. A great opportunity to relax and meet some local mums-to-be.


Private classes in your home
Baby Mindful is also available as a private or small group session in your home, either with babies or for mums-to-be.
No special equipment or large space is required, making this an ideal activity to enjoy at home, perhaps with an NCT group or by yourself. This can be ideal if getting out of the house is more challenging, perhaps with twins, with PND or PNA, or if you can't drive following a Caesarian or other medical complications.
